Our History
Villa Rita is situated right opposite the spa at Uliveto Terme in a small medieval hamlet called 'Noce' (walnut) by reason of the many walnut trees in the surrounding area. This hamlet is part of the beautiful medieval village of Vicopisano.
The buildings around Villa Rita were once its farmhouses and belonged to the Villa itself as at that time the mansion had strong links with its nearby farms due to the need for fresh food and produce.
The ancient main building goes back to the 1400s and it still holds many of the original features, like the handmade terracotta floor tiles and the beautiful frescoes framing the entire ceiling of the main hall. These riches testify the presence of the noble families from both Pisa and Florence that succeeded one another over the centuries.

Location
The Villa has large outer and inner gardens. The latter is a gorgeous Italian-style garden thick with lemon and orange trees and colorful flowers planted in ancient oil jars that maintain the flavour of bygone times. The grove also boasts a splendid pentagon-shaped 18th century gazebo.
Villa Rita has two floors, the surface of the roof is about 1000 mq. The receptions are held in the low grouns and in the two italian- style gardens surrounding the mansion.
The rooms used for the receptions looks over the garden, which is a typical example of the architecture of the 18 th century.
